Last September I posted about a senior storage facility er, “senior apartments” which I found to be disturbing for several reasons.   I recently ran across a similar project which gives the bleak and utilitarian exterior an additional synthetic twist:

 

Same basic design as in a previous post – but with polypropylene panels imitating brick in addition to the standard vinyl siding.

 

It appeared to me that many of the “bricks” were decorated by vandals.  Later I found out that they were actually made this way at the factory!

 

What’s going on at the corner?! This looks odd…

 

Oh… that explains a lot.

 

Nice attention to detail!

 

A quick Google search for “the finest in senior living” turns up about 12,000 results. Pretty sure that the finest ones don’t have exteriors of polypropylene and vinyl.
